Our wonderfully bright, yet sweet and creamy bodied Colombian is harvested from October to January. Balanced notes of citrus and red apple provide the characteristic fruity aspect of this roast while an SCA cup score of 83 ensures quality and consistency in the brew.

Produced by dedicated small farm growers in the Huila/Antioquia regions at altitudes of 1100-1900 masl these beans are processed using highly traditional methods.

Only beans of size 15 – 16 are graded as Excelso thus ensuring a high quality and consistent roast.

After picking and initial hand sorting for underripes etc the coffee cherries then pass through a pulping machine before working their way down the washing channels to the fermentation tanks. Here they will sit for typically 8 – 14 hours before moving to the drying patios or guardiolas for controlled drying down to 10 – 12% moisture. The coffee is then stored in parchment until ready for export when it is processed at the dry mills to be bagged ready for shipping.

100% Arabica – Varietals are Caturra, Colombia, Castillo and Typica.
